Your hosts have lived in Costa Rica all their lives. The family is huge by U.S. standards. As Costa Rica transitioned from farming and fishing to tourism so went the family. Most of the family has specialized in the tourism industry for many years, inlcuding homestays, host family programs and party boat fishing, just to name a few. There are also many family ties in other parts of Costa Rica.

Many speak English. They are very knowledgeable and experienced "Home Stay" experts and have first hand experience throughout Costa Rica. They will accompany or guide you to various tourist activities or point you in the right direction to strike out on your own.

Many tourists from the US, Canada and Europe have enjoyed their stay with this family (testimonials and references are available). Our guests are from all over the world, all walks of life.

This is not a Bed and Breakfast type experience! You live and eat with the family members in their homes. If you are on a budget, or just want to spend your money on your vacation and not on hotels, this is the way to go!

You can witness first hand the daily activities of a typical Costa Rican family. You can go with them as they shop local market places, pick fruit growing wild, prepare meals and watch the constant flow of relatives, waiving as they pass by or stopping in for a short visit. You can participate as much or little of daily activities as you desire. It is up to you.
